Leave your thoughts about The Pleasure of Being Robbed.
MUBIDaniel Kasman"The Pleasure of Being Robbed" isn't exactly a criticism of its generational brethren, but it is a fundamental improvement, a small quiet film that sees its small quietness with a sympathetic sadness
Screen InternationalLee MarshallA charming indie title, suffused with the spirit of the French New Wave of the early sixties and possessed of a quirky likeability.
New York TimesLaura KernExposes itself as a technically deficient bore with little on its agenda.
Slant MagazineNick SchagerAffects an air of expressionistic realism but has no interest in actual believability.
User ReviewChucho E. QProbably, the cutest, nicest, most charming characters in contemporary filmmaking. A modern day Amélie with cleptomania and a cheap apartment in New York.Indie cinema at its best.
User Reviewjoseph tI'm not sure about this lady at all. She seems to be either really curious or just plain stupid. She gets in more shit than I've ever seen. The film was good but I don't know what the purpose of it was.
User ReviewDouglas JThis was a pretty breezy and light-hearted film. I don't think there wasn't much to expect but overall it's a watchable movie. Eleonore Hendricks and Josh Safdie had quirky moments that I laughed with. And somehwere near the third act put a twist on Henrdick's characters little "habit". Overall, it's definitly not a movie for everyone, but anyone who enjoys independent films like myself, you'll probably have a good time.
User ReviewRaymond Famazing movie...it has the feel of a french new wave film from the 60's. simple, funny and surprisingly touching and raw.
User ReviewBlake LA little bit thin for me, and maybe miscast, but it's still a great looking effort from some talented folks. The short before was really fantastic too.
User ReviewKrystal GTiene encanto pero le faltó una historia de contar.
