David Dunn (Willis) is taking a train from New York City back home to Philadelphia after a job interview that didn't go well when his car jumps the tracks and collides with an oncoming engine, with David the only survivor among the 131 passengers on board. Astoundingly, David is not only alive, he hardly seems to have been touched. As David wonders what has happened to him and why he was able to walk away, he encounters a mysterious stranger, Elijah Prince (Samuel L. Jackson), who explains to David that there are a certain number of people who are "unbreakable" -- they have remarkable endurance and courage, a predisposition toward dangerous behavior, and feel invincible but also have strange premonitions of terrible events. Is David "unbreakable"? And if he is, what are the physical and psychological ramifications of this knowledge?

Movie Reviews

The Film Yap - 10/10 by Nick RogersSequel talk often sparks because this unconventionally contemplative comic-book film is M. Night Shyamalan's only idea worth continuing -a patient, downbeat and thrillingly unpredictable drama that still stands today as Shyamalan's visionary masterpiece.
Montreal Film Journal - 10/10 by Kevin N. LaforestIt's easily one of the year's best movies.
Salon.com - 10/10 by Matthew Rozsa"Unbreakable" is likely to stand the test of time as long as stories about superheroes - or heroes in general - are still sought by scared, suffering human beings.
Colbybryant.com - 10/10 by Colby Bryant(It won't) appeal to all... (but) for those interested in understanding the psychology of what makes heroes and villains tick, there are few films I could recommend higher.
Cinema Crazed - 9/10 by Felix Vasquez Jr.A superhero origin story for an audience that appreciates human stories...
Panorama - 9/10 by Jean-François VandeurenUn hommage fulgurant à la bande dessinée dont bon nombre des adaptations qui ont suivi auraient gagné à prendre comme exemple.
Palo Alto Weekly - 9/10 by Jim ShelbyWhen was the last time a big budget Hollywood thriller (with Bruce Willis, no less) came off as understated?
Cincinnati Enquirer - 9/10 by Margaret A. McGurkAgain, the director uses Bruce Willis as his leading man; again, he draws from the action-star icon an intense, low-key performance that is all about stillness and silent pain.
CinemaBlend.com - 9/10 by Joshua TylerIn the end, you leave the theatre satisfied and looking for more.
Moviola - 9/10 by Jorge Avila AndradeLos resultados son en muchos aspectos superiores a lo realizado por Shyamalan con anterioridad
