Leave your thoughts about Drool.
DVDTalk.comBrian OrndorfThe picture is an obnoxious mess with its heart in the wrong place. The more it pushes to be clever, the more meaningless it becomes.
Los Angeles TimesKevin ThomasEven though Drool rambles and ultimately slides into overly obvious make-believe, Kissam emerges as a fearless risk-taker of promise.
Boxoffice MagazineMark KeizerAn unpersuasive, amateurishly told story of an abused wife escaping her old (straight) life and embarking on a new (lesbian) life.
User ReviewTracy FI love it not racial at all and I think this is the be$t movie ever thank for the movie
User ReviewLindsey LLet's completely disregard the fact that this movie is not believable for one nanosecond. Because you know what? It's a movie. It doesn't have to be believable or realistic. It's unique, hilarious, and a fun ride. It's also a great lesson: in life, we aren't always beautiful or great, but we all deserve happiness. And if your dead husband in the back of your car while you embark on a road trip with two weird kids and your lesbian lover makes you happy, then so be it!
User ReviewVeronica GI was prepared to not like this movie but became totally engrossed in it. Not what I expected. Quirky, entertaining, light hearted, and definitely worth watching. There are some serious issues in this movie, yet it was not meant to be taken so seriously (no spoilers here). There are also some scenes that strongly hint about shocking sexual situations, but not in an offensive manner. It does not indulge in lesbian sexuality. The only people who may not like this movie are those who are extremely conservative and serious about everything. Take the stick out, relax, and enjoy :)
User ReviewIna SCampy, quirky film with lots of sinister black humour, great entertainment and guarantee for a very fun movie night.
User ReviewSusan RThis movie is hilarious. Very random too. I liked the story a lot even though it was all a random! I think this movie should have categorized as lesbian romance? Anyways! Just the way of this movie was directed was really good! I had a lot of laughs from it! The narrator is basically the daughter of the family explaining about her family. "That motherf*cker! I mean your daddy" LOL!
User ReviewSean PThis was a true delight. A surprisingly quirky, funny and unique film. You wasn't sure what direction it was going, which only made it that more pleasent. Completely unpredictable and great entertainment. This movie was simply hilarous and random that due to its sweet nature it somehow worked. Loved the unique plot, the acting was great and just the overall experiance. Really surprised how much I enjoyed this film.
User ReviewMary GIn a world where most lesbian movies are terrible and most movies about "dysfunctional" (read: white, middle class, relatively functional) families are terrible, Drool is an outstanding film. Considering the dreary subject matter-- abuse, poverty, racism, homophobia-- this movie is entertaining without delving into B-movie territory. The characters are deep and flawed and amusing all at the same time. Drool is the definition of whistling in the dark. Passes the Bechdel Test with flying colors.
