IGN - 4/10 by R.L. ShafferPerhaps a slightly more engaging, focused narrative would have saved the film. As it stands, we're treated to 82 minutes of confused storytelling that spends the entire first half torturing our two principal leads in the most bizarre ways imaginable. Perhaps Corman fans should skip the first half of the film and simply watch the actual "Deathsport" sequences instead. The film will likely play much better as a 40-minute short.

User Review - 10/10 by RC MAt first I thought this was a sequel to Death Race 2000 but it is not. Even though the title suggests it the Death sport is not shown as much as it is talked about. Even though it is kind of like Death Race it was only shown for maybe 10 minutes the bulk of the movie is talking, really weird sound effects, and motorcycle chase scenes with people getting shot with a big microphone "Blaster". The film is pretty bad even with starring roles David Carradine and Richard Lynch. The film is really out there and the storyline is pretty disjointed but it definitely has its moments and the explosions were a plenty.
User Review - 10/10 by Luke Hbest movie ever constructed by man. i will die wishing i could of existed in that absurd world. i want a death machine and a hand blaster. i want to see a mutant. i want to be a range guide. these are all things i wanted as a young boy. and i still want them. just in the "death sport" fashion. sport = fun death = destruction put them together and you get fun destruction. how can you go wrong? what film embraces that? not many. what an extreme feeling: at your time of recreation you are terminating the opposing team. and you are having the time of your life. forgive me if im wrong but that is something you dont think about often. (or dream of it) i am a very passive person and ive never touched another man but if i could do it, id pick the death sport way.
User Review - 8/10 by Alex SIt's so shit, but it's so entertaining. Despite the fact that it's a sci-fi film that stars David Carradine and has "Death" in the title, it's not related to Death Race 2000 at all, even if the back of the dvd cover says it is. But it's just as cheesy (some say, even cheesier) than that film and that makes this an entertaining movie. It wouldn't be hugely surprising if you find this film on Movies 4 Men or Syfy.
