MoviedexTom CliftCombines the visual splendour and historical drama of Takashi Miike's 13 Assassins with the unrelenting second-half intensity of Mel Gibson's Apocalypto.
User ReviewBrendan NThe film has a relentless chase in the second half of the film that is easily one of the best seen on film. I couldn't stop watching and was glued to my seat, this is great filmmaking and another Asian film to showcase the high standard of film. Beautiful to watch and easily climbs into the top ten of 2011.

User ReviewTony Pi really thought this was a great film . the setting and the display of skill was great to watch. Were some of the shots staged sure, but dont let that take away from just a good story Remeber this is a KOREAN film and im sure that they'er culture and view of things had an influence as to the cinnemetography. Over all i thought the film was definatly worth the watch.
User ReviewCarley BThis is actually a really great action/ suspense movie. The chase scene which lasts about 40 minutes is one of the best I've ever seen. It follow a similar story to Mel Gibson's Apocalypto but is far superior. Very well done movie and soundtrack. This doesn't get a lot of credit because it is a Korean film, but is one of the best recent action films I have seen. Thumbs up to the director.
User Reviewopen 7Wow the koreans are getting pretty good at making films. This was compelling through and through with a great story line about the power of love of siblings. I loved the unassuming character of Nam Yi and his survival through the odds. There was some shoddy wire work in the impossible leap section, but otherwise it wasnt too noticeable.
