User Review - 10/10 by Clay Bwell umn just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a good movie 2 watch..its got a good cast of actors/actressess throughout this movie..i think that jack lemmon, ricky nelson, john lund, mike kellin play good parts throguhout this movie..its a good 1960's movie 2 watch,...i think that the director of this Classics, Comedy movie had done a good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect throguhout this movie its a good classic movie n its enjoyable 2 watch
User Review - 6/10 by Private UIf you like Jack Lemmon as much as Jim Carrey does, then the humor is worth checking out. I don't know why, but I felt like Jerry Lewis was in this movie somewhere as a major part. But the humor is cool and the war theme in WWII Pacific theater works well. They actually get a real military mission and somewhoe don't louse it up. Watch it once; again and again if you really like it !

User Review - 6/10 by Urmimala RNot bad. It was on the telly this Saturday afternoon. Fairly light fare considering the title. It was refreshing to see such a young (swoon!) Jack Lemmon. The plot - or parts of the plot - reminded me of the one in 'Down Periscope' at least vaguely... or should it be the other way around? In any case things end happily ever after, as much as it can in the armed forces at least.
