Christian Science MonitorDavid SterrittIn the end, 'And the Ship Sails On' is a cruise to nowhere - diverting, but a bit dull.

User ReviewFrançois Pa marvellous and poetic film from the italian master Federico Fellini.
User Reviewmanu qThis is an adventure with almost fantasy exotic people. The aristocracy caricaturized with beauty. A king that is a child, his secure and calm, blind sister that gives him advices. When the serbian refugees arrive, the reality comes.
User ReviewJulian AA marvellous treat - a great suprise. A complete ball
User ReviewScott SThe film I always wanted Fellini to make.
User ReviewSorin HFascinant.
User ReviewDavey MBeautiful. One could read it as a commentary on the destruction of the aristocracy, but there's a lot more to this late-period Fellini than that--there's humor (both gentle and sad, sometimes both, and almost always absurd), an easy sense of pacing, a very palpable sense of bittersweet nostalgia, philosophizing, and enough lyrical imagery and mini-dramas to fill a half dozen or so movies. Though there are many ideas one can get out of "And the Ship Sails On," this is the sort of movie that would be utterly ruined by trying to intellectualize it. It's an experience, like music (it's very musical),
