Leave your thoughts about The Rolling Stones: Sweet Summer Sun - Hyde Park Live.
Film RacketMike McGranaghanSweet Summer Sun: Hyde Park Live doesn't try to explain the band or tell us anything we don't already know about them. It just allows us to admire one of the world's best rock-and-roll bands, rocking every bit as hard now as they did 44 years ago
Ozus' World Movie ReviewsDennis SchwartzThe joyful concert celebrates the Rolling Stones' 50th, and is a nice treat for their many young and old fans.
User ReviewKenneth JGreat concert DVD and the Stones still rocking.
User ReviewJohn TConcert film featuring the Rolling Stones in their two 2013 concerts in Hyde Park in London, 44 years after their famous 1969 concert. Their best performaces were on "Gimme Shelter", "Jumpin' Jack Flash" "Brown Sugar" and "Satisfaction". Former band member Mick Taylor joins Mick, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie on "Midnight Rambler". The background filler featuring the band members discussing their lives and careers was a minor distraction, but if you're a fan of the Rolling Stones you will love this film.
User ReviewCarlo CGreat concert film. It's basically 100min of The Rolling Stones/the-greatest-band-ever playing all their hits on a summer evening in front of more than 100,000 people in London! Very simple, because it doesn't need any more than the great music - sure, the lighting, stage props, sunset, choir and 5min intro (+ flashback to 1969) help, but are't essential to make this great viewing. Even after 50 years, they're still amazing. Looking forward to '14 On Fire'!
User ReviewMichael BSeeing a concert in a movie theatre was definitely a cool experience!! The quality was AMAZING!!- This particular concert was only in theatres last night.
