After reading the diary of an elderly Jewish man who committed suicide, freelance journalist Peter Miller begins to investigate the alleged sighting of a former S.S. Captain who commanded a concentration camp during World War II. Miller eventually finds himself involved with the powerful organization of former S.S. members, called "O.D.E.S.S.A.", as well as with the Israeli secret service. | User ReviewSamantha Swow umn just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a good movie 2 watch.....its got a good cast of actors/actressess throughout this movie....i think that peter jeffrey, maximilian schell, mary tamm, maria schell, kurt meisel, derek jacobi, jon voight, klaus lowitsch play good roles/parts throughout this movie.....i think that the director of this thriller movie had done a good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect throughout this movie....i think that jon voight/derek jacobi are brilliant thorughout this movie i think that this is a great thriller movie 2 watch with a good cast throughout this movie |
| User ReviewChristopher KI'm not sure why this doesn't have a higher rating. It's an absolutely brilliant film. The only criticism that could possibly be leveled at this picture is that it takes a little too long to get going. We don't get any really serious action until the halfway mark, but at that point it kicks into high gear. The twist in the end is great. I can't say enough good about this film. Forsyth's meticulous research and attention to minute detail once again elevates this story from "just another spy flick" to serious conspiracy thriller. The first half is a bit of chore, but push through it and you'll be richly rewarded. |
