| User ReviewBill BOddball 70s exploitation flick about a group of female pirates who go undercover into a jungle prison camp to rescue the leader's sister. The film is part women-in-prison film, part blaxploitation, and part chop socky. One of many cheaper exploitation films of the 70s shot in the Philippines, this film is very much in the mold of "The Big Doll House" and the weird 70s exploitation fascination with jungle set women in prison films. Although director Cirio H. Santiago has his cult following, I found the film rather amateurishly done and nowhere as smartly made when compared to exploitation flicks made by say Jack Hill. Still, even though the film is poorly made, the 1970s machine gun toting women is always pretty fun. |
