Movie Reviews

Reeling Reviews - 9/10 by Robin Clifford...culminates in a flat, obvious ending that does not satisfy.
Chicago Sun-Times - 9/10 by Roger EbertA breathtaking exercise in the macabre, a gruesome thriller with quirky cops and a killer of Lecterian complexity, and even when the movie is perfect nonsense, it's so voluptuous that you're grateful to be watching it anyway.
Kansas City Star - 8/10 by Robert W. ButlerIt has good tough-cop banter, a couple of satisfying action scenes ... and a load of plot twists you won't see coming.
Baseline.Hollywood.com - 8/10 by Ted MurphyDirector Matthieu Kassovitz ratchets up the tension and never lets go as he tells separate stories of two police detectives whose investigations eventually overlap.
Empire Magazine - 8/10 by Jo BerryConclusively proves Gallic filmmakers can make a movie equally as bad as the worst stuff churned out by their American counterparts.
eye WEEKLY - 8/10 by Catharine TunnacliffeContains a few genuine surprises, and demands that audiences remain attentive.
JoBlo's Movie Emporium - 8/10 by JoBloJust when you thought that the serial killer genre had been beaten to death, the French grab a hold of it and spice it up.
San Francisco Chronicle - 8/10 by Mick LaSalleDoes not end well. But there's a lot of pleasure in getting there.
Mark Reviews Movies - 8/10 by Mark DujsikThe film has a finely tuned drive, an intriguing build in its plot, and a unique style that balances atmosphere and absurdity.
Seattle Post-Intelligencer - 8/10 by Sean AxmakerKassovitz keeps the film zipping along with solid pacing and just enough action to clear the credibility gaps as long as the film is rolling.
