User Review - 10/10 by Keith TA fantastic story of medieval love, chivalry, and treason.
User Review - 10/10 by Karen WGood old fashioned medieval romp. Loved it as a child still love it now!
User Review - 8/10 by Matt NGreat fun! I've seen this a few times over the years and it never fails to entertain.
User Review - 6/10 by Kevin M. WHoward Pyle's story Men Of Iron, manages to inform this typical swashbuckler as a young man (Tony Curtis) must clear his family's name, get back his family's land, and get the girl (Janet Leigh, most buxom). The character actors carry this piece while the leads provide the eye candy. Typical, yet fun.
User Review - 6/10 by Bill TRather bland and boring sword and sandals movie here with Tony Curtis playing the son of a gentleman who was unfairly called a traitor and put to death, and therefore The Son Must Die Too! but unfortunately, noone seems to know who he is (including Curtis himself) because a relative had hidden him from harm. Now, all grown up, Curtis decides to be a servant of the king, and maybe get some answers while he's at it. Answer-seeking is pretty much all that happens during the first 3/4 of the film, and well, that's pretty boring. When the lad's secret IS figured out, and oh, something about the bad guys wanting to take over the king's throne, then the film somewhat comes to life, and offers a nice battle scene for all our suffering for the first three quarters. But really, do yourself a favor and spare yourself.
User Review - 6/10 by Tom HDecent film on a more than decent Bluray edition. the acting was fine and the story was reasonably interesting.
User Review - 6/10 by Jason CPerfect for a Sunday afternoon while the kids sleep. If only the machinations of medieval politics had been this simplistic, perhaps the world would be a better place today. Knights, tights and fights mean the wafer-thin characters and general absurdity of the whole thing don't matter a jot.
User Review - 6/10 by Paul CEnjoyable historical adventure with a miscast Tony Curtis as the son on a wronged nobleman fighting to regain his family's good name and estates. As with similar films, good and bad are clearly drawn for all to see bar the cast. And Janet Leigh and Barbara Rush provide excellent eye-candy.
