Teenagers Reg, Skip, Julie and Pam go out for an afternoon of water skiing on a nice day. They come ashore on an island that is being used as a testing center for a scientist and agents from "an eastern power." They seek to turn the people of the United States into easily controlled zombie like creatures. The agents steal Reg's boat, stranding the teens on the island. The four friends are then held captive in cages able only to speculate on their fate. Though they have already been testing the formula on convicts and drunks, the enemy scientist and agents plan to conduct final tests on the teens before they use it on the rest of America. Meanwhile, two of their friends, whom the captives had planned to meet later, search for their missing friends. After a series of suspicious encounters, they urge the corrupt sheriff to search the island where their friends are trapped.

User Review - 6/10 by Julio MGee, the 1950s sure were full of cheesy, ham-fisted acting and shoddy camera work! Yet through the maelstrom of crap, I find this campy little drive-in flick kinda fun for all the wrong reasons. The music is swell, though it may simply be a recycled studio soundtrack.
User Review - 4/10 by Jenny UI really enjoyed the guy in the gorilla suit and the feel good ending. Other than that it was sub-par acting and pretty ridiculous.
User Review - 4/10 by Stuart PAh, the blissful days when all you needed to make a movie was a camera and about a dozen people with nothing else to do. When acting talent meant you were literate enough to read the cue cards off camera, and special effects consisted of eye-makeup and a gorilla suit. TEENAGE ZOMBIES is a vintage wine of bad horror movies in that it is so awful and unbelievable that it is nothing short of amazing. An entire cast and crew believed so strongly in this hokey scrap of film that they actually shot, edited (to a degree) and released the entire thing for the pleasure, and money, of the viewing public. Now, that's love. TEENAGE ZOMBIES is a joke right off the bat because there is never, at any point, a teenage zombie. There is one zombie. A large, eye make-uped dude wearing an obviously over-accentuated suit and lookin' like a monster from Scooby-Doo. Most of the time he walks around, head down and eyes rolled back, either serving food or closing doors. The most menacing thing about him is his stubble. So, these four kids, two girls and two guys from the local soda shop, get on a boat and find an island 40 miles off shore that no one really knows about. This island is populated by a vampish bad actress and her Scooby-Doo zombie who spend their days testing different gases with which to bomb America with. They've managed to secure a gorilla, which they smoke out in a spaciously built gas room (with a wooden door), and aside from that spend their days hating America, passing gas, and waiting for dipshit teenagers to wander onto the island. So, these four teenage dipshits wander onto the island. And despite getting chased by this woman and her Scooby-Doo zombie from the git-go, decide to go to her house and ask for help when their boat ends up missing. It should be noted that the "creepy lair" of the vampish bad actress looks like little more than the kitchen and dining room of a low-scale B&B. Suffice to say, you can't have a functional mad scientist lair equipped with white, glass front cabinets full of china and sliver. Naturally, she lures the gaggle of dipshits into the basement and puts them in a giant cage. She wants to use them as test subjects for her zombie gas that she intends to bomb America with using the help of two suit-wearing America haters from Someplace Other Than America. One thing this vampish bad actress does not know, however, is that American teenagers roam in packs. And there's an extra couple out there ready to meddle in her nefarious scheme. Evidently the heftiest portion of the budget for this movie went towards renting the gorilla costume. Depicted on the box art and movie poster carrying a helpless human woman, the actual gorilla from TEENAGE ZOMBIES did little more than inhale a room full of bong smoke and later walk slowly across the room to lean on a table. The later probably the result of the former. I only walked out of the room for a brief portion of the movie near the end, but I never saw the gorilla do anything else, girl-laden or otherwise. Still, the rental on that suit must have been massive, because it is definitely the key-stone attraction on all of the publicity. Another defining characteristic of this movie is the outrageously loud and out-of-place score. Many mundane moments, such as any of the frequent beach walking scenes or trips by the china cabinet, is made much more intense by the repetitious blaring and insistance of trumpet and violin urgency. The real message of this movie is that horseback riding is Squaresville, daddy-O. As the young, weary of water skiing teens leap into a convertible at the end of the film, one of them asks what they should do next and another responds with the horseback riding suggestion. They beat him soundly while laughing. What a fun movie.
User Review - 4/10 by Wes SSlow moving plot, uninteresting characters, and horrible excuses for zombies. The story starts nowhere and doesn't really end anywhere. There's a lot of confusing moments. The editing is choppy and the dialog is awful. Probably one of the worse Pre-Romero zombie movies I've seen.
User Review - 2/10 by Michelle VAnother B-film directed at the younger audiences that filled drive-ins and theatres, whose thriller potential starts out strong and intense with a creepy, intense open score but quickly fizzles as the action and story dawdle around the sets. The young characters are dumb and unintentionally cruel (the boys leave the girls trapped in a cage while they slink away safely), and the adults play along complacently with the story and the kidsâ?? actions. It is only at the end in which a hilarious struggle eventually ensues, releasing the comic potential of the film (and an angry gorilla only seals the deal).
User Review - 2/10 by dan bClassic example of 50's drive-in fodder of which i am a fan. If you think guys in cheap gorilla suits are scary then this is the movie for you.
User Review - 2/10 by James HJust what you would expect from the title. Yes, it?s a low budget 1950?s style horror flick. Poor acting, awful score, and a very stupid story.
User Review - 2/10 by Adam Rbad movie but moves along well even though the plot and acting is piss poor .. ive seen worse from the 50s drive-in flicks
User Review - 2/10 by Asif KWhen watching Teenage Zombies I kept thinking..when are they going to gas those girls? That was a big build up for me. I was wanting these girls (especially the blond that Ivan had a thing for) to get gases & turned into zombies. I don't think that too much to ask from a movie called Teenage Zombies. So they finally gas the girls (which was a lot less exciting then I thought it was; I thought when they gassed the guy in the gorilla suit was uneventful) & they're turned into mindless zombies..& I didn't notice a difference. A little bit @ the beginning but it's like they forgot they were zombies. I know the gas was supposed to be temporary but it ware off w/in a matter of seconds. Bad acting, bad script, bad fucking movie
User Review - 2/10 by Movie KReally poor B-grade movie. Short duration is a relief. 4 teens (Don Sullivan, Paul Pepper, Mitzie Albertson) explore an isolated island while going water ski and saw a line of zombies walking. A lady Katherine Victor saw them and the teens run back to their boat which is gone. They search around the island but to no avail. The 2 guys explore further and Katherine greets them. She said she's the only one there and doesn't need a boat. The 2 girls are caught by a zombie and lock in cell. The 2 guys joined them. Katherine plan to use them for research without interference from outside world. 2 other friends (Jay Hawk & Nan Green) who waited for them too long decided to report to sheriff. He couldn't find the boat. The duo teen search on their own and end up at Katherine house. They left when she said she didn't saw them. Then Jay saw 2 men on boat docking. The men are rushing her to speed up the work. Her one slave zombie is healthy and obedient unlike her other test subjects. The need to rush is because a dead federal agent might have inform the government of their evil research. Don and Paul manage to break their cell lock and make a run. The girls lock is hard to break. The guys can't find their boat and build a raft, sneak back to cell. Jay went to sheriff home and tell him what he saw. They going to the island. The 2 girls are use for new test. The boys break out and waiting to strike. Turns out the sheriff works with the baddies and he is the one supplying convicts for her to do tests. He says this time round using innocent kids is too much. One men shot the sheriff dead. The boys fight back and got the guns. But the girls are already in zombie state. Katherine refuse to help and is force into the chamber to go through the same test. But she just can't be talk to. Don threaten one of the man to get antidote. She awaken and smash the antidote. The slave zombie returns and they make a run. Luckily Paul had another cup of antidote and the girls are save. Katherine and one man go for the sheriff boat. The 6 teens jump on the boat and escape. The army will reward them. Don wants his boat back and the army major promise to find for him.
