Monthly Film Bulletin - 7/10 by MFB CriticsSeven Days to Noon is a first class thriller with a theme of alarming topicality.
Filmcritic.com - 6/10 by Chris Cabinan odd and upending entertainment, one that concludes that those on the opposite side of the world are nothing compared to those at home
User Review - 10/10 by Carlton RBarry Jones stars in this 1950s thriller. Sci fi horror, an early Atomic themed film, which is excellent throughout

User Review - 8/10 by Stephen CIts fair to say that parts of this thriller haven't aged as well as other parts of it have, the biggest problem is all the accents are either clipped precise English or Lord Luv a Duck cockneys which can be quite grating at times. But that quibble aside The Boulting Brothers give us a tense and exciting thriller which will keep you hooked until the very end. Barry Jones plays the overworked Prof Willingdon who decides on a drastic course of action to end what he sees as a futile arms race. He steals a small atomic device and threatens to destroy London unless his demands are met. What follows is an exciting Manhunt as the net closes around Willingdon and London becomes an evacuated and empty ghost town. The film evokes its period very well indeed and although some of the acting is on the Wooden side Barry Jones as Willingdon and Andre Morrell as the Policeman on his trail keep the film afloat with outsanding performances. A real British classic this film despite some flaws still stands up today.
User Review - 8/10 by cody fBrilliantly executed slice of nuclear paranoia, with some delicious in-jokes for luvvies, and almost docu-drama shots of a London now long gone.
User Review - 8/10 by Walter M"Seven Days to Noon" starts with Professor Willingdon(Barry Jones) having written a polite letter to the Prime Minister(Ronald Adam) stating that unless he announces the country is disarming its nuclear arsenal, he will set off a nuclear bomb in the center of London at noon on the following Sunday. When Superintendent Folland(Andre Morell) of the Special Branch verifies it is not a hoax, the hunt is on. "Seven Days to Noon" is a riveting thriller that accomplishes a heightened level of realism with a superb use of location shooting while sidestepping some obvious pratfalls like a possible romantic subplot. Along the same lines, it is a wise move not to make Willingdon that sympathetic, as he comes off as somebody who is broken from constantly living under an enormous strain that he cannot share and is not thinking rationally, synbolizing the insanity of employing nuclear weapons. And he also reminds me a bit of Dr. Jekyll from the Bugs Bunny cartoon. "Seven Days to Noon" serves as a valentine to the resiliency of the people of London, living yet again under the threat of a bomb, shortly after the end of World War II. But I would like to disagree with the character of the Prime Minister(and probably also the filmmakers) that the nuclear bombs are necessary(I remember reading in a biography of J. Robert Oppenheimer that the scientists at Los Alamos created an atomic bomb out of fear that the Nazis would build one first and never intended it to be used like it was on Hiroshima) as a deterrent because in the end, the threat from another country never turned out to be viable.
User Review - 8/10 by David SA solid, timely thriller that's been borrowed from by other types of films, from the red wire-green wire suspensers to things like 28 Days Later. Well-done in general, even if the procedural aspects are a bit dull.
User Review - 6/10 by Pavan RWatched this in 2013 but still found it quite exciting. Good acting and direction with a simple plot. A good chilled watch.
