The HinduNamrata JoshiThe rest of the pack is irritating; I am finding it difficult to pick up who was the worst--the stupid boss or the obnoxious office colleague.
The Times of IndiaRachit GuptaThis is one of the most wickedly funny films that we've seen in a long time.
Hindustan TimesSweta KaushalIt is refreshing to see a Bollywood movie where misogyny and lack of consent are called out, even in an all-male zone. Abhinav Deo's Blackmail offers several similar moments to cherish and celebrate.
FilmfareDevesh SharmaWatch this adult comedy for the performances of its ensemble cast and some true ribald scenes.
Film Companion ReviewsAnupama ChopraAbhinay Deo clearly has a keen eye for the darkness and absurdity of daily life but Blackmail isn't sparkling enough to sustain interest.
Film Companion ReviewsRahul DesaiIt's a pity Blackmail doesn't capitalize on its details. On a technical level, Deo exhibits the eye of a proficient ad filmmaker...little moments don't quite add up, but they do place this film near the top of the burgeoning well-made-average-movie pile.
User Reviewfamiliar sThe movie was too much fun to watch. Guilty pleasure! One of the best movies watched this year (2018).
User ReviewAditya MA really enjoyable Bollywood film that I have seen in a while. Irrfan is absolutely fantastic. The story runs along at a fun pace. I laughed a lot in the movie! I didn't like the oh-not-so-subtle allegories but I guess they had to do that for the audience. The movie continues the movement of fighting the run-of-the-mill mind-numbing movies that Bollywood churns out and does it successfully.
User Reviewkhwahish kJust an extra fun added by Irfan's acting. Ending was such a cliffhanger. Arunoday Singh was amazing cherry to the cake. But the story lacked in some phases like Wife's betrayal and her redemption where the ending would have made a little more sense.
User ReviewMirza Mohd S'Blackmail' is a well written and acted dark comedy, which despite its flaws manages to be a good entertainer.
