Full Plot Details

The Rag, an English tabloid, has been seething with intrigue ever since the editor-in-chief, Eddy, started an affair with his assistant Mary, who also happens to be married to Richard Morton, president of the media group that owns the paper. When she finds out that an editorial change is in the offing, Mary decides to make a bid for the editor's job. She dumps Eddy and persuades her husband to give her the promotion. Refusing to give up his post, Eddy goes on the offensive, with help from photographer Morph, master of the revealing snap. They work out a plan to concoct a scandal to harm Morton's reputation and thus keep Eddy's job.

User Review - 8/10 by scott ga fasinating look at fleet street, the newspaper district in london, set at one of the papers, simon callow, is a editor whos also having a affair with his boss wife who also works at the paper, and also in line with callow for promotion, while at same time a inportant piece about the royalfamily emerges, and conflicting interests arise as to wether they should run the story, so a little backstabbing emerges. a great look to this film hand held and ery jerky, really takes you into the action of the office, topical debates brought up, which brings this film into todays world, malcolm mcdowell great as the boss after his own interests, and jennifer jason lee, great as the out of her depth american having the affair, confirms all we know and think about the tabloids, in the uk, really bad,
User Review - 2/10 by Sakae IMe gusta el guion. Pero los interminables movimientos de camara hacian que mi cerebro no pudiese relajarse ni un momento. No hay en toda la pelicula un plano en el que la camara este quieta. Llega a marear y producir nauseas al espectador. Satirico y rompedor guion queda eclipsado por la mierda del movimiento de camara. Y Malcolm McDowell, mi adorable Alex de "la naranja mecánica" hace un papel normal y corriente, no deslumbra por su actuación.
