Norton is supposed to have buried the strongbox containing $20,000 from an express robbery near Devil's Gulch. Norton has an ace-of-spades tattooed on his left arm. Tex goes to Cedar Bluffs posing as Norton. Meanwhile the real Spade Norton escapes from prison and exposes Tex as an impostor. Complications follow.
