| User ReviewKaren TA very moving, well-acted, warm and realistic movie that does a good job portraying the various persuasions, traditions and fissures in the Jewish community. The lead actress is excellent - the perfect choice for this role. The director avoids turning the film into a melodrama, though a kleenex for the more sensitive souls will come in handy. The visit from Marc Chagall was a nice touch; since this is based on a true story, I assume it really happened. Unfortunately, it probably won't get much circulation outside of Jewish film festivals. |
