Leave your thoughts about Never Say Never Again.
Chicago Sun-TimesRoger EbertWhat makes Never Say Never Again more fun than most of the Bonds is more complex than that. For one thing, there's more of a human element in the movie, and it comes from Klaus Maria Brandauer, as Largo. Brandauer is a wonderful actor, and he chooses not to play the villain as a cliché. Instead, he brings a certain poignancy and charm to Largo, and since Connery always has been a particularly human James Bond, the emotional stakes are more convincing this time.
Time OutChris PeachmentThe action's good, the photography excellent, the sets decent; but the real clincher is the fact that Bond is once more played by a man with the right stuff.
Christian Science MonitorDavid SterrittSean Connery is still up to par as James Bond in the latest adventure of Agent 007,
Three Movie BuffsScott NashAlthough this movie isn't perfect, it is good enough that you truly wish Connery had never said never again.
Not Coming to a Theater Near YouLeo GoldsmithAside from some minor flaws, the film is a surprisingly standard Bond film, one that could easily be integrated into the "official" franchise with very few adjustments.
Ozus' World Movie ReviewsDennis SchwartzIt's an aging and unenthusiastic Connery who returns to play Bond, who doesn't have the physicality to do justice any more to the demanding muscular role.
sbs.isStefan Birgir StefanssonLike being trapped in a dream inside twin peaks
TimeRichard SchickelIt is good to see Connery's grave stylishness in this role again. It makes Bond's cynicism and opportunism seem the product of genuine worldliness (and world weariness) as opposed to Roger Moore's mere twirpishness.
NewsweekJack KrollConnery was perhaps wise to call it quits the first time round.
Movie MetropolisJohn J. Puccio...one of the most sophisticated of the Bonds.
