User ReviewMarko OExcellent, goofy fun. Not an action film, but a character piece.
User ReviewMuffin MA huge oil conglomerate sets an open challenge to any team that can set a new 1000 mph land speed record. The front runners: a large aeronautics corporation with a high-tech rocket car and a grass roots team funded only by bravado and bootstrap engineering. Daily speed trials pit men against men, machine against machine as the race to be the fastest heats up! stars Billy Zane, Pam Gidley, William Zabka, Ray Wise, Pamela Gidley, Greg Travis, Marc McClure, G.W. Stevens and Simon Rhee. directed by Christian McIntire.
User ReviewAdar HAs far as good-bad films go, this one is alright by me. Silly/predictable enough plot, bad CG, and cast seems to be improvising more than half of their lines. All of this combined with a Billy Zane that seems terribly amused with himself chalks up to some fun at-home MST3K moments for everyone. Repeat: rent this sucker to make fun of it, not for a legitimate film-going experience.
User ReviewOctavio MI'll have to say that this film, pretty much destroyed Zane's notoriety as a legitimate actor, this film was horrible to begin with. This demonstrated that this was riffing off the Fast and the Furious franchise, only the difference between this film , is that they attempt to touch into the science fiction genre, which was very pathetic on their part. The editing was too rigid, and the plot of the story meandered on too many times. In the end, this film was a career-ender for Billy Zane, as far as to return to the silver screen anytime soon.
