Creative LoafingMatt BrunsonThe wartime material is fairly standard (if well-executed), but the simmering theme of racism is honestly handled, and Sinatra is excellent.
Ozus' World Movie ReviewsDennis SchwartzUnconvincing World War II tale that mixes war and a soap opera war romance.
The Retro SetNathanael HoodKings Go Forth is just more proof that Daves remains one of the most crucially overlooked directors of the classic Hollywood studio system.
User ReviewAshley HAnother war outing for Frank Sinatra. This time with Tony Curtis and Natalie Wood. On Blu-ray.
User Reviewmonsieur rGreat Dramatic love story set in World War II France. Another film where the nice guy doen't get the girl ;( But great film
User ReviewCourtney Sgood story line about racial intermarriage...

User ReviewKaty WI LOVE NATALIE WOOD AND FRANK SINATRA TOGETHER!!!
User ReviewGreg WTwo GI's fighting on the French Riviera during the second world war compete for the love of a beautiful girl with a dark secret; her father was black. From the era in which Hollywood started dealing with such big and delicate issues, this film deals with the race subject, but rather than being a powerful showing of the theme and a stand out work, it feels like a soap opera trailing behind other films of the same kind and the same period. Enjoyable, but in spite of its famed case it's also forgettable.
