Urban CinefileAndrew L. Urban[Lowenstein] balances the needs of the comedic pain with the exigencies of dramatic truth very well.
Hollywood ReporterErin FreeThose who like their cinema on the edge should find a lot to enjoy here.
User ReviewSophie CSpeechless. A movie I could watch over and over again, and relate to. Black is the ultimate.. black eclipses everything............
User ReviewJoonas TIt worries me how similar Dannys life is to my own sometimes. It makes me laugh when people call this movie "cliche'"
User ReviewPrivate UI love how it stereotypes Brisbane, Melbourne and then finally Sydney a little too well.
User ReviewMatt Clove it! featured some fantastic lines, brilliant photography, INSANE characters. for me, the highlight was this speech: "I've lived in 49 shared households in what seems like as many years. I've been ripped off, raided, threatened, burned out, shot at, cheated on, scabbed in every one of those years. My beds are foam slabs on the floor, my cupboards are stacks of stolen milk crates! I've lived with tent-dwelling bank clerks, albino moon tanners, nitrous suckers, psycho fucking drama queens, ACID EATERS, MUSHROOM FARMERS, FUCKING BROTHEL CRAWLERS, FRIDGE-PISSERS, HARDCORE SEPARATIST LESBIANS, AND AN OBSCURELY-TITLED JAPANESE GIRL!" - brilliant!
User ReviewMariano AYa en Australia saben del "Arma secreta" mira vooo.... creo que me pongo a compartir cuarto en cualquier momento.
User ReviewDanielle Mone of those great australian movies which happen when we let ourselves be ourselves. from the great birmingham series of books, but reminding me a lot of the feel of "snail" by eric dando.
User ReviewDervilla OLowenstein balances the needs of the comedic pain with the exigencies of dramatic truth very well. Totally strange, quirky and profound. So outside the norms which is another reason why I enjoyed it so much!
User ReviewAndrew AI absolutely loved it. One of the best Australian films ever (even though there isn't many.) it was a very odd film, but was still great. the acting of Noah Taylor (Danny) was terrific. 5 star
