User ReviewJoshua LAfter I saw this movie, it automatically became a personal favorite. This movie kept me guessing as to what was going to happen next. The only thing that disappointed me was that I couldn't find any kind of sequel to to and i really want to know whats going to happen next.

User Reviewkirsty dSorry, but I loved this film. Corporate dystopia is ever so timely. Cuba Gooding is an awesome actor, and, much like Michael Cain, is a working man, and acting is his work - not his vanity.
User ReviewDave JMonday, February 20, 2012 (2009) Hardwired SCIENCE-FICTION/ THRILLER Straight-to-rental but upon watching it, it's like a combination of a lot of science-fiction films with a message and like watching an original movie from a Philip K. Dick story which takes place in the ravaged future and the Chinese yen is worth more than the American dollar, and marketing companies are the only way that's making money. To make it as simple as possible, a car accident insues killing Cuba Gooding's wife and his unborn baby resulting in a corporation implanting a micro chip into his brain. Upon waking up, most or all of his previous personal experiences had been wiped clean including his relationship to his deceased wife only that the only thing that is replacing those memories are commercial ads and marketing similar to what people see on televsion. Everytime he questions or becomes curious about this new type of technolgy, the firm that did this to him always seem to know about he's been up to because of monitor cameras around the city and have the ability to make his head explode, except that someone has hacked into the firm's computers preventing any of that sort of thing to happen and are trying to use him to find out the answers. Nearly every scene through out is a new revelation which is a combination of alot of films main one being 'Eagle Eye" to "Total Recall" to "Enemy Of The State" The first 25 minutes is quite boring when it showed a man's head getting blowned up but upon watching it further viewers get to understand how, why and how come! It's a thinking film that suggests another possibility about how far advertising firms go to get people to buy their products! 3 out of 4

User ReviewAmanda HThere's nothing terribly original about this plot, and I'll admit I had really low expectations going in, between the cast and the reviews I read. But I was very pleasantly surprised, because while the whole concept is a bit tired, this manages to be really entertaining. Don't expect your mind to be blown on originality and plot twists, but this is a really fun movie.
User ReviewJohnny BInteresting idea. Not a great movie, but not bad.
User ReviewAlonzo HI actually liked this, even though Cuba Gooding Jr was in this movie (Not a fan of him) Val Kilmer did a very good job. Nothing new to the story, but its easy to follow and something is happening all the time more or less.
User ReviewJed AWow. This was a good movie. Great Sci-Fi Action thriller. Crazy plot with great acting and a huge amount of plot twists which i really like. Cuba and Val Kilmer gave the best performances in this flick, however Val Kilmer looks nothing like what he looks like on the cover. Weird. Yet, so was the conspiracy thing going on in the movie the whole time. Hardwired had a good amount of holes in it, and could have easily been better and made into an AMAZING movie. But in the end I really enjoyed it and hope to see it again. 4 out of 5
