Reel Film ReviewsDavid Nusair...Arthur Miller's surprisingly incoherent screenplay [is] certainly a key element in the film's downfall.
User ReviewEvaLena IAngela Crispini (Debra Winger) a seemingly good Samaritan, hires the wellknown private detective Tom O'Toole (Nick Nolte) to prove that a teen sitting in prison on a murder charge is innocent. While Tom is doing his investigation, he discovers deep corruption within the city and finds that Angela isn't everything she is pretending to be either. I was wondering why I had never heard of this movie before, when I happend to pick up the dvd cover. Now I know why.... Despite a cast with heavy weights such as Nick Nolte, Debra Winger, Will Patton, Jack Warden etc this is such a piece of crap to be honest. I reckon the blame has to be put partly on the director Karel Reisz, but as well on the cast for not having a very good shooting. I mean usually solid and great actors such as Nick Nolte and Debra Winger (both are old favourites of mine) are not having a very good day in "Everybody Wins". I reckon both of them wants to forget about this movie anyways. So, do not bother seeing this feature. It is a waste of time. See something really good with Nolte and Winger instead.
User ReviewSean G"Everyone knows. Everyone's guilty. No one pays." Nolte plays an investigator who gets hired to prove that a teenage girl didn't commit a murder. He soon discovers that many people in the town have covered up the case. This was an ok movie, nothing special but Nick Nolte who's a great actor.
