User Review - 8/10 by Roger CThe version I have Of Bloodlust has the original quirks in it. It is B&W. Not very good quality and has the usuall dust on the frames. It was digitized when it was moved onto DVD. The movie itself is very good,
User Review - 8/10 by Bruce BThis was a pretty cool movie. 2 couples are on vacation on the open sea, when they come across a group of Islands. The skipper of the ship is a drunk, and is passed out when couples are ready to explore an island. The island looks deserted but its not it is inhabited by a Dr. Albert Balleau (Wilton Graff), who has a hobby of hunting humans. (This role should have been played by Vincent Price as our actor did all he could to imitate Vince Price.) After welcoming the couple for a night he lets them know they are now his prey. Filmed in 1959, and in Black and White I thought it to be a pretty good film, nothing to scare anyone, just a good film. One of the actors Johnny Randall played The father on Brady Bunch, this was long before that. This movie was in the Drive In Cult Classics Volume 2, 8 Movie Collection. I sat down and enjoyed this movie, been a long time since I gave out 4 stars to a Drive In Classic.
User Review - 6/10 by Brandon SBafflingly silly in its adaptation of one of the great stories of all time, and absurd in its characterizations, but, at the end of the day, it's all charming and harmless. This is a movie that has something to say and do, and it accomplished both as it flounders admirably. I enjoyed myself with this admittedly ridiculous B-movie classic.
User Review - 6/10 by Brian SA fun low-budget 50's "The Most Dangerous Game" copy--Terrific Drive-In Fare!!
User Review - 6/10 by Theresa JBlack and white movie along the lines of the horror story about the rich man that has hunted endangered game, now wants to hunt a human. Robert Reed (Mr. Brady from the Brady Bunch) when he was younger is a lead in this.
User Review - 6/10 by Bryan GThis is the first entry in a new category called Exploits from the $1 Bin. These aren?t necessarily films that need to be reviewed. Or films that really are able to be reviewed. Basically all I want to get of my attempts at reviewing these are to weed out which of these B-Grade flicks are worth seeing, and worth skipping. Bloodlust can be best described as a poor man?s The Most Dangerous Game. While this is a cheap rip off of that much more classic film, Bloodlust is just dumb enough for me to actually like it. While I won?t go out of my way to ever see it again, for the price I paid, I got all I needed. Four friends, lead by Robert Reed? yes, the father on The Brady Bunch television series? are cruising around on a boat, when the captain gets drunk and falls asleep. The group takes a small boat to a nearby island. But the teens soon discover that the island is a dangerous place. There is an eccentric millionaire on the island, and is luring people to his mansion on the island. Why, you ask? Well to hunt them. Not really sure why though. I think he does explain why, but if I can?t remember than it mustn?t have been that impressive. The movie is badly paced, and the suspense is almost non existent. But this is one of those movies that is so poorly done, it kind of works in some odd way. Most of I was laughing at how bad it got, but at least I was into in some way. I wouldn?t really recommend this movie at all. I paid $.50 for this movie when it went on clearance at Target, and kind of feel glad I didn?t pay more than $1 for it. There is another movie on the disc that I probably will watch some other time. That will be another entry in the Exploits from the $1 Bin.
