StarburstJamie EvansIt's not a particularly great thriller and even at 96 minutes is too long.

User ReviewMatthew CNot a top favorite but a good one to put into your blaxploitation collection
User ReviewBrad GAn excellent leading man and strong supporting cast make it easy to ignore the generic Blaxploitation narrative. Jim Brown is one tough dude and there is great pleasure in watching him discharge a shotgun into various mob soft bellies. Martin Landau is perfect car salesman sleaze and his heavy, Brian Glover is just as smiley creepy/terrifying as his offspring Crispin. And letâ??s not forget about Bernie Caseyâ??s badass revolutionary! I would have loved to have seen more from this tough dude. Great satisfying action explosion climax. VF.
User ReviewChris WBlack Gunn is a fun movie for what it is: an over the top blaxploitation film with the typical evil white characters, and the cheesy lines. Martin landau has the role of an evil car dealer (aren't they all) while Jim Brown is our hero. While this isn't great cinema it is a good example of well made cheese in history.
User ReviewJon CPoor Martin Landau, just a few years after his disagreement with Paramount over his salary for the MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE TV series, this very talented actor plays a syndicate heavy in this run-of-the-mill Jim Brown blaksplotation film. Like Ed McMahon in SLAUGHTER'S BIG RIPOFF, Landau engages in some seriously cheesy scenary chewing. Bruce Glover plays his heavy. This is a better blaksplotation film than SLAUGHTER as Brown plays a sucessful black nightclub owner (and former kickbutt Special Forces type) who gets involved in the machinations of the white mobsters responsible for his activist brother's death. Brown remains an impressive and imposing physical force. Later, he developed a human side and a sense of humour about these films.
User ReviewSterling BA somewhat amusing blaxploitation flick. Unfortunately, it's not really worth your time unless you want a laugh.
User ReviewMichael SThis is exactly the type of blaxpoitation film that was lampooned in "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka." The funky soundtrack, low-budget miscues (like obvious stunt doubles), lousy acting, and '70s lingo keep things somewhat interesting.
User ReviewMichael TJim Brown in a film titled BLACK GUNN...what else needs to be said?
User ReviewJim QNot great, but fun to watch "Blaxploitation" movie.
