Movie NationRoger MooreCharming, even if it is Disney/Pixar pandering to the increasingly-important Chinese market.
User ReviewLars SA very good story told in 7 minutes. I even found it being better than the main feature, The Incredibles 2.
User ReviewJoy JThe depth of this short is heartwarming, and the animation is detailed and beautiful!
User ReviewAhmed AAbsolutely adorable and heartfelt, you get lost in the moment and forget you are about to see a film 14 years in the making.
User ReviewOmar LThe generational divide is difficult enough for parents to navigate, but it's even harder for those who emigrate to another country and raise their children in another culture, a culture that THEY consider foreign. The beauty of art is that it can cross linguistic divides, and in less than 8 minutes, "Bao" manages to tell a heartwarming and ridiculous story that every parent and every immigrant parent (and every child of an immigrant parent) can appreciate. Even without dialogue, this wonderful short serves as a touching lesson to those who are afraid of losing the ones closest to you or losing your identity.
User ReviewMark CI smiled, I laughed, I cried. All in 7 minutes. Can't blame me though, as I'm precisely the target demographic of this short feature. Hell that thing even looks like me. (Those who watched this will know what I'm referring to)
User ReviewLyrical WI actually enjoyed this as much as or more than Incredibles 2! It made me cry. How does Pixar know how to always touch the heart? If I was an actor that needed to cry, i would just watch this short film and then hand the tissues. Great and unique story. I want to see it again! The sad thing is that all the negative reviews come from uncultured people that have no idea or desire to understand this culture which is a HUGE part of American culture now since baos are soooooo popular. "I don't get it so I don't like it" means, "I don't care about it cuz it's not about me." I guess POC should say the same thing about white themed films then? This was truly one of Pixars best and I'm so glad I didn't even know about it until I saw it. It was the best bonus to watching I2.
User ReviewDiego EIt was time to finally enjoy a great Short Film from PIXAR once again.
User ReviewJosh USuper cute and fun with good animatio, a little confusing at the end, but all together, pretty fun.
User ReviewMatt KA unique take on a good message. This was cute, and I liked it.
