Ozus' World Movie ReviewsDennis SchwartzAn unpretentious and spirited, but uneven Western.
Apollo GuideRyan CracknellBuoyed by a strong cast and carried by an interesting mix of genre sensibilities, it's a film that may not have much lasting value but is fun nonetheless.
User ReviewBrock GOne of the great late westerns. Jimmy Stewert and Dean Martin play loveable bad guys that you can't help but root for.
User ReviewGARY AI remember when i was a little fart i saw this movie and Dean martin became one of my top western stars.Plus I loved the music opening song.
User ReviewSarah FSo damn cool it don't make no sense. You'll NEVER see the end coming. Very surprising.
User ReviewRichard C......Great solid western.....Exceptional score by Jerry Goldsmith....Stewart is his usual exceptional self.....Martin is passable.....Ending is satisfying.....The film has some solid comedic scenes......which is somewhat unusual for a western....
User ReviewErik WAn underrated western with a great cast and story. James Stewart, Dean Martin and the beautiful Raquel Welch and of course George Kennedy all give great performances. If you like westerns, check this one out. Jerry Goldsmith wrote a great music score for this to.
User ReviewAshley HSure, Dean Martin and Jimmy Stewart starred in better westerns in their careers, Rio Bravo and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, to name a few, but this one doesn't have John Wayne. The Duke didn't need to be here. This is a good ride that holds the formula western of better days to its heart and you're none the worse off for having given 90+ minutes of your time. And yes, Raquel Welch is gorgeous, baking in the hot Mexico sun. Dino doesn't sing, but the soundtrack by Jerry Goldsmith is haunting. A good movie if you like westerns.
