Fort Worth Star-Telegram/DFW.comCary DarlingThe movie isn't scary enough for horror fans, gruesome enough for the slasher crowd or campy enough to be funny, so it falls into something of a cinematic purgatory.
Slant MagazineJames SpillaneThe film's unlikely combination of didacticism and sexy teen slaughter signals a booming trend: the Occupy horror flick.
VarietyJoe LeydonA slickly produced and brazenly clever piece of work that could attract a cult by sheer dint of its ingenious nastiness and self-aware snark.
Dallas Morning NewsChris VognarWith characters that come off more as collections of tics than people and a soundtrack stuck on earsplitting dance remix mode, Bad Kids plays like a straight-to-DVD bad dream.
The Hollywood ReporterFrank ScheckThis bloody exercise in camp quickly wears out is welcome, although its copious doses of nudity and gore, as well as its undeniably catchy title, should help it stand out on video shelves.
Screen InternationalTim GriersonThis low-budget combination of thriller, horror and satire flaunts a smartass tone that proves deadening, and as the body count starts rising, viewer interest quickly begins dropping.
Austin ChronicleLeah ChurnerBad Kids Go to Hell is the kind of movie its own pampered, careless, coked-up characters would make as a class project at the ass-end of senior year: boys running around with weapons, girls mugging sexy-sassy, narrative continuity be damned.
User ReviewMatt SSooooooo it's basically The Breakfast Club meets Paranormal Activity/Ghostbusters/Scooby Doo....
User ReviewKarina Gomg totally want to see this movie best preveiw yes please lt me see this movie!!!;);):)
User ReviewBank BInstant cult classic. Highly recommended. I thought it was going to be another "B" horror movie. But it was far from it. It is actually a really smart movie, with great acting, and has an agatha christie murder mystery style while throwing in some of the most absurd over the top hilarity capped off with funny one liners by original "Bad Kid" Judd Nelson who plays the headmaster. Do not think this is a movie to watch late at night. I think the people who rate the movie poorly probably are expecting a slasher without demanding much thought from the viewer. On the contrary, it demands your attention as details are sprinkled throughout as you try to figure out who or what is behind the killings. Oh...and the soundtrack is bad ass!
