New York Magazine/VultureJohn LeonardWell enough done, with Corbin Bernsen and Olympic gold medalist Carl Lewis also running around in high winds, but it rather misses the doomsday point of The China Syndrome.
User ReviewRicky WThe acting is suburb for a movie like this, the effects are good. A good alternative to "Twister"
User ReviewNatko BGotta love the bad movie with its stealth tornadoes that seem to keep sneaking up on certain people.
User ReviewJoe Li wander if anything like this ever really happened. im glad that mark and his finace got back together in the end, and that they were able to save everyone.
User ReviewTammy PGotta love the bad movie with its stealth tornadoes that seem to keep sneaking up on certain people.
User Reviewmega DMildly entertaining. Typical sci-fi channel cheeseball
User ReviewNiil ONot very accurate scientifically, but some of the acting was good. (Some of it was really, really bad though.) Not a terrible way to kill a couple of hours if you're OK with a movie being carried by the special effects.
User ReviewSteve BThis is one of those movies that makes you think of the possibility of a 'twister' damaging or hitting a nuclear reactor. For starters they should have decided more carefully where to place and build one and within which county or country! The movie starts a little slow, introducing you to the main featured characters. The movie shifts back and forth to particular specific locations as the storm brews and the tornado's hit. The drama heats up as the movie progresses and voices get louder, the wind stronger and the damage and chaos more intense, I did feel that the damage and debris everywhere did add to the realism. For the reactor plant being so huge I was a little surprised to get the feeling it was so empty, minimal staff (just the key characters) worked the problems mainly from just one makeshft computer room. A lot of tongue in cheek moments, force OTT scenarios to raise the tension and a lot of extra looking busy. Overall a dramatic, race against time movie including tornado special effects, but a little off Jan De Bont's 'Twister' and comes in 2nd.
User ReviewPrivate UI was really hoping for an "atomic twister". You know, like a tornado that has nuclear capabilities. Didn't work out that way. The acting was pretty terrible, especially Sharon Lawrence. She's awful and should stick to Lifetime movies. Mark-Paul is still my favorite Zack Morris macdaddy.
User ReviewGemma LWith a title like this and knowing that it was a TBS original movie, you know what you're getting. If you want to relax with a mindless movie, you could do worse than watching Zach Morris climb a molehill-made mountain thanks to a Dutch angle.
