CampBlood.orgBrian JuergensThis scrappy, campy horror comedy shows a clear affection for the cinematic tradition that fortunately doesn't supersede a clear desire to play with its entrails.

User ReviewSchmoog LYou just have to love a camp/gore movie. What's not to love?
User ReviewKeith HA campy horror comedy that knows how campy it is. It is made to be viewed as a midnight movie with a fun drunken audience. So much fun to watch a lone but best in a theater with others. Great cameos from a lot of d list celebs that own it! John waters fans and horror movie fans will find this an instant classic! I was so proud to be an extra in it. Should make horror fans proud.

User ReviewArchibald TThe Victoria Theater has long since brought horror movies to the masses. The owner, Walter Tennis, sadly passes away and left the theater to his daughter Deborah. She always wanted to be an actress and to make her father proud. Her mother is a vicious bitch who wants to shut down the theater and sell it to whomever for loads of cash. Deborah doesn't take kindly to this since years of shyness and having to put up with her and other people's shit have finally struck a cord in her synapses. She finally snaps and as a result she viciously murders her mother. As she does this, she quotes the classics from 'Friday the 13th', 'Psycho' and 'Wizard of Oz'. All the while being recorded on surveillance video, she accidentally projects the footage of her killing her mother onto the screen for the audience to see. They love it and she becomes a great big star in the community. Of course, one short movie isn't going to be enough at least for her now that she's the star she always wanted to be. Deborah's inner serial killer has been unleashed in a seductively domineering way. So she with her assistant Mr. Twigs along with two insane twins and a slob for a robber set out to make more gruesome short snuff movies. They're mainly short promo ads to show before the movies to remind the audience to not use their cellphones. A tale of two severed titties reminds us that at the Victorian Theater, if you use your cellphone, you better look out for your tits for they may get chopped off! Many of the films deal with Victorian era themes and literature. Slightly altered for murderous effect. The theater reminds me a little bit of the Elgin. Very nostalgic with the midnight movie crowd. Much of the film is a homage to horror movies and to horror theater viewing. Natasha Lyonne gives a devilishly wonderful performance. If there was one flaw it'd be the subplot of Steven, the horror movie geek who has a thing for Deborah. Still it doesn't distract too much from the sinister going ons at the Victoria Theater.
User ReviewGuillaume HYes its John Water like, and yes its very 90's somehow but waht counts is that its fun, its gross, its kind of ambitious and it dares to be screechingly over the top. Natasha LYonne is hilarious and creepy, and Cassandra Peterson is just delightful. The movie scenes are also worth the full thing all by themselve. Its not a masterpiece, and never annonces himself this way. it just promises to be fun, and it is. Oh and Ashley Fink made me roll on the floor.
