| User ReviewRiff JExtremely low budget, but also very good. There were numerous scares, spread thoughout the movie (multiple times I stiffened up and got goosebumps... 1 time I shrieked out loud lol). The direction and cinematography were great. The only issue I had was with the acting. Most of the characters were extremely annoying and it wasn't til the middle of act 3 that a couple of them became bearable. Oh and also I have to nit pick re the decisions they made, the things they said (at times) and the plot holes (ie if x happened the how in the hell was y able to occur). Nut considering how low budget this was, and how many times it scared me, its a great movie. |
| User ReviewBrian CBasically House of 9 (2005) but with supernatural stuff, reality show premise, and handheld cameras except without the acting skills to carry itself through making a lot of similar mistakes to House of 9. I did appreciate that during the climax they would have moments where they would illuminate something happening so I could still tell what was going on. Far too frequently in this subgenre you end up with a climax where you can't really see anything and it's hard to tell what's going on. This movie was a decent concept that deserved a better execution. |
