| User ReviewElizabeth HThis movie is based on the award winning novel by Nick Earls. It's basically a kind of coming of age story about a 16 year old guy who chooses to stay with his young Aunt and her housemate in Brisbane; over going to Geneva with his parents. He is in the final year of high school, and on top of the usual things high school students have to focus on, Dan has to face the emotion of adulthood and falling in love for the first time (with his Aunt's housemate, Naomi). I rather enjoyed this movie, it had some very funny parts, as well as a little seriousness and it was rather touching too, in some aspects. It was also great seeing something that was filmed locally for a change: in Brisbane!! Hehehe. |
