Ivano Marescotti was born in 1946 in Villanova di Bagnacavallo, Italy. Ivano Marescotti worked in the department of urban planning of the municipal council of Ravenna before beginning his acting career at the age of 35 years in theatre. He became known to the cinema with his second role in the film aria serena dell ovest (en)(1990), and increases when a supporting role, becoming one of the actors kind the Italian's most prolific years 1990 and 20001. From the end of the 1990s, it appears in international productions such as The Talented Mr Ripley (1999), Hannibal (2001) and King Arthur (2004).
