EmanuelLevy.Com - 9/10 by Emanuel LevyMinnelli's second film suffers from the casting of Lucille Bremer (producer Arthur Freed's mistress) in the lead role, and the public was not crazy about seeing Astaire playing a thief.
User Review - 10/10 by Jérôme JNot exactly Frd Astaire's best film, but it still is fun to watch, and for me, the song and dance rotuine for "Coffee Time" more than makes up for the rest of the movie's flaws! An enjoyable film to watch every now and then!
User Review - 8/10 by Michael TAnother musical and dancing delight from Fred Astaire in this timeless classic. A latin heiress calls upon her guardian angel for support and gets a on the run con-man who's pretending to be the angel and is about to help take her money but ends up falling in love with her. Once again Fred Astaire provides magnificent entertainment with his singing and dancing and Brener dazzles us with her beauty and a great performance. You can always guarantee good singing and dancing scenes when Astaire is casted. He is always delightful to watch. As a fan of Astaire I encourage anyone who is thrilled to watch great dancing and good tunes to watch a movie with Fred Astaire in it. You definitely get your worth of entertainment out of him.
User Review - 8/10 by Katie RI'm pretty sure I'm the only person in the world who loves this movie. Bremer and Astaire were so amazing together, and they should have done more movies.

User Review - 4/10 by Ashley HMusicals are an acquired taste I have never really acquired, but I figured I'd give this one a shot because of its unusual reputation - panned upon its release, it has since developed a cult following because of its bizarre imagery. Unfortunately, it doesn't live up to its reputation. The characters are shrill and annoying, the plot is bland (every gag falls horribly flat), and the songs are pretty awful. It is an appropriately lavish Technicolor production impressively staged by director Vincente Minnelli, but the handful of offbeat images there are are few and far between, and really not worth sitting through the rest of it. Fans of old-fashioned Hollywood musicals may find some entertainment value, but everyone else should just avoid it.
User Review - 4/10 by Stephanie DNot my favorite Fred movie but as always, it's a pleasure to watch him dance!
User Review - 4/10 by Private UAwful script, but an amazing, epic and surreal dance number in the middle of the movie makes it worthwhile.
