User ReviewLaura BI know this seems to be an obscure movie, and it is! But I happened upon the very end of it a couple of weeks ago (on TV) and it ignited my curiosity. I finally watched the whole thing and can honestly say that I loved it. It's about choices and choosing the one you love, even if he isn't the richest or smartest. The chemistry between the main characters was superb and you just couldn't wait for the ending! :) It will be a must-add to my collection...
User Reviewbill kSweet, wonderful, touching little film about a small time love affair.
User ReviewJolene Baww! It was so sweet! I want to watch it again already!
User ReviewSarah MAh! watched this on BBC christmas ever, BEST! movie ever to watch on a stormy day. It's such a cute story. I missed the 1st 10 min and I ending up getting sucked in as soon as I turned it on. Such an interesting and at some times humourous love triangle. James Murray is incredibly attractive in here<3
User ReviewElisa JThis is a wondrous little truffle, perfect for a winter's night (or a night in any season, for that matter)! The story is astoundingly cheerful for Thomas Hardy (especially the humorous choir vs. clergy plotline), James Murray is a countrified dreamboat, Ben Miles is a vicar - and there is a happy handful of unexpected snogs at unacceptable moments in unseemly locales. The whole thing is a delight: a pocket period miniseries at a mere 90-some minutes! Who needs a mainstream chick flick?
User ReviewRuth LShe gets who she wants in the end. My kind of fella
User ReviewLaura GBeautiful movie about a rural town romance. One of the few Hardy stories I enjoyed.
User ReviewBridget HClassic Thomas Hardy so not to be criticised.
User ReviewJane SWorth it for the lake scene but also good throughout.
User ReviewErin KSo good, with simple little twists and turns.
