Movie Reviews

Slant Magazine - 9/10 by Nick SchagerAt first glance, Tuesday, After Christmas seems, in both form and content, only a modestly ambitious endeavor. Yet the singular attention with which it carries out its aims-and the rigorous success it ultimately attains-is nonetheless unsparing, and bracing.
AV Club - 9/10 by Noel MurrayMore about well-observed moments of everyday life than it is about heightened melodrama.
Village Voice - 8/10 by Nick PinkertonUnrelentingly mundane, as if made with the sole purpose of draining the topic of adultery of any prurient interest.
Film Journal International - 8/10 by Rex RobertsDeliberately paced drama of adultery depends on nuance and subtext, the latter holding far more meaning than the subtitles.
Salon.com - 8/10 by Andrew O'HehirMore broadly this is a resonant, vivid and finally heartbreaking tale about the universal difficulty of marriage and the endless self-delusion of the human condition, driven by a trio of amazing dramatic performances.
Critic's Notebook - 6/10 by Martin Tsai"Tuesday, After Christmas" simply doesn't add anything new to the stale tale of infidelity.
MovieMartyr.com - 6/10 by Jeremy HeilmanIf Tuesday, After Christmas has a flaw, it is its lack of subtext.
Boxoffice Magazine - 4/10 by Richard MoweRather than take a broad-brush approach director Muntean boggs us down in the detail of an adulterous affair. There are some similarities with his previous outing "Boogie" in that the main character is a man having a premature mid-life crisis.
User Review - 8/10 by Simon PThe film succeeds in creating a totally believable dramatic world and characters. The execution of the long takes is wonderful. Maybe it's a bit too bourgeois and doesn't have a profound philosophical message, but it's still very impressive.
User Review - 8/10 by Vlad Deste un film despre normalitate, despre neputinta si acceptare. chiar daca nu iti place ce se intampla, intelegi si realizezi ca nu poti schimba nimic, nici macar in modul in care privesti.
