Seanax.comSean Axmakerthe real stars of the show: those fabulous vehicles and the awe of the miniature effects execution (which was a major influence on the work done on 2001: A Space Odyssey).
User ReviewMark WI loved Thunderbirds when I was a child. My favourite ship is Thunderbird 2 because Vigil gets to go on the slieds all the time.
User ReviewRichard BPuppets in a film by Gerry Anderson, this film adaptation based on the big hit show Thunderbirds remains the best. By the way, watch out for The Hood, cos he's such a meanie, in this film.
User ReviewTracy DVery good for it's time. Puppets to film, hard transfere, but this was different, because the actors were puppets.
User ReviewTigger Rjust love the thunderbirds have them all well recomened
User ReviewJames BFuck. It was brilliant. There were the usual hallmarks of the Thunderbirds - their creepy, grinning faces bobbing around on their Parkinson-inflicted bodies, occasionally coming out of the floor on a leather sofa, creepily still. The frightening twitching of their lips coupled with some of the most cliche filled lines every written. The decision to have horribly obvious cuts to real human action was a hilarious one. The movie lasted ninety minutes, and about twenty minutes of that was people going into ships/ships being put together/ships staying perfectly still in mid air with nothing around them moving. Even after this and including the intro from the TV show, they were obviously in a crunch for time. What to do? A motherfucking dream sequence. Complete with a song-and-dance number. I could go into detail about some of the other great stuff - the Martian rock snakes, the "masked" saboteurs, the wig parade ending. But I can't go on forever, though describing all that would give you an idea of what this movie is - a celebration of ridiculous, unrelated concepts.
User ReviewEllen Clove it!! great switch from the small screen to the big screen where those marionettes rele belong! & the cliff richard sequence is jus hillarious cos of how over the top it is!
User ReviewSimon EGot into the show when I heard they were making a movie in 2004 (stupid reason I know), but something rang a bell about being little and watching it at some point. Got back into the show and loved it from minute 1. Thunderbirds Are Go is great, love the Cliff Richards song. Oh and Alan plays a pretty big part in teh movie. Disguise anyone?
User ReviewSilas PScott Tracy is pretty hot for a puppet! Look out for Cliff Richard dancing on the moon. The live action version was awful, though. They should have made in in the 1990's with the Baldwin Brothers.
User ReviewMarcos CUm filme que me leva a infancia. Vendo hoje, acho uma facanha para à (C)poca.
