User Review - 8/10 by Adam Da classic war drama film set in the Battle of Britian fine acting by Joan Fontaine and Tyrone Power make this 1942 movie a must see film.
User Review - 8/10 by Maria CThe film version of This Above all is a lovely romance that takes place during World War II in England. Clive Briggs is a deserter who falls for an upper class woman, Prudence, who is serving in the womens air corps. Clive was an excellent soldier, but became discouraged with the country's class structure keeping people down and in the end, didn't know what he was fighting for. Though its style is a little dated, with Fontaine doing a big monologue about England. the acting is strong. This was a departure for Tyrone Power and would have led to more challenging roles for him had the war not intervened. The book "This Above All" was very graphic sexually; alas, the film has none of that.
User Review - 8/10 by Stephen PThe always radiant Joan Fontaine steals the screen again & dons the uniform of the WRAF/WAAF's in this classic film of 1940's flag waving propaganda. Keep the home fires burning.
