After returning from a masquerade, much to his surprise, the wandering textile salesman, Alekos Lazanis, stumbles upon an abandoned and helpless baby. Having no other choice but to take care of the innocent infant, Alekos will seek help from his fiancée, Annoula, to find his parents or a couple willing to adopt him.
