Sarasota Herald-TribuneChristopher LloydThe acting is splendid, it has a dour, sober quality and boasts an authentic period feel. Sort of "Masterpiece Theatre" meets Dostoevsky.
User ReviewAlf NFrancia post-guerra, Anthony Hopkins... :)
User ReviewJim BAt first I could only focus on the fact that everyone in France had an English accent. But the film ended up having a deep story and had me anticipating what was going to happen when the big secret was revealed.
User ReviewPavan RJust good; didn't like the third act, it was sort of soppy.
User ReviewPrasad PSolid, if unremarkable, adaptation of the Graham Greene story, with a strong performance from Anthony Hopkins as the man who trades his wealth for his life. Well made, well acted and very watchable.
