User ReviewJowana BIt would've been even better if their lives were made into a TV series. 145 minutes is way too short!
User ReviewOiying LInspiring stories of 3 individualistic women who lived their lives each in the way they chose to, all ahead of the times.
User ReviewMel CThe music was lovely. A beautiful yet tragic story. The acting was superb as well.
User ReviewWendy CBesides learning about our own history, the legendary life of the three sisters was highly amazing! They were women of the very time of the contemporary China!
User ReviewJoycé Thighly recommend it. a pleasant surprise.
User ReviewElaine Yi dont know the history but the movie looks real
User ReviewCharles Ghigh epic drama surrounded by major historical events like Joy Luck Club
User ReviewChiqui EThe cinematograpghy is amazing and everything is delicately pretty--- too pretty to be true actually...and I know it does take great efforts to fit their stories into the tragic history of China in the first half of the 20th century. Yeah, it will confuse you and bore you to death, if you don't have a good knowledge of Chinese history...although I think it's way too long, there are many great moments.
User ReviewPaul TOne of the first movies i watched in cinemas, I remember that it's v good. Quite touching in some places.
User Reviewtatan hIt also reminds me of the political situation in Thailand... Kuomintang vs Communists, Red vs Yellow... Different opinions are found everywhere. We can not live together if we don't accept that. I'm so in love with Soong Ching Lin in this movie.
