Anchorage PressIndra ArriagaThe film reflects the biases faced by deaf people simply for being different and to the urgent need for change to give them equitable access to the world.

Arts FusePeg AloiRealistic and moving, with beautiful cinematography, this is a stirring call for awareness of the plight of deaf schoolchildren.
Flickering MythShaun MunroBeautifully shot and scored though it is, it's the strength of the writing and Shelton's deeply compassionate performance that really makes this one soar.
Flick FilosopherMaryAnn JohansonIt's an unusual sort of bigotry on display here, one that many of us who aren't personally touched by the issue may not even be aware of. Absolutely heartbreaking.
Eye for FilmAmber WilkinsonThe filmmakers do not want you to feel good after this short, they want you to think.
Daily Telegraph (UK)Tim RobeyThe artistic finesse of the film leaves, perhaps, just a little bit more to be desired - it's a case of applauding a message more than its overeager medium.
Cultured Vultures Annie BanksThe family is weak, and the supporting cast isn't much of a cast at all. Yes, there's other siblings, but they aren't impressionable or notable in any way.
User ReviewBetsy Wa powerful film with beautiful acting by maisie sly and rachelshenton.
User ReviewAndrew KThis short film shines a light on a very real struggle for children with a profound hearing loss as well as any child with a hearing loss. Mainstream school is a scary place for young children but when you add a child with a hearing loss, it gets much worse as there is no one for them to communicate with. They are not being educated with peers like themselves. This is an awesome look at how parents and educators alike are not frequently educated to know what is best for their deaf child.
