Reel Film ReviewsDavid NusairThe first rule of a sequel should be: Do NOT destroy the happy ending of the previous film.
eFilmCritic.comScott WeinbergManages to lack ALL the surprising creativity of the original. It's actually very, very terrible.
User ReviewEric LI loved it. It's as good as the first one. Cool.
User ReviewAlex rnowhere nearly as good as the first Arrival movie. maybe a little better then average, nothin special though
User ReviewJTF Misn't this happening know...lol holds up to first
User ReviewCommish GWow! I really liked the Arrival so this was a big disappointment. Bad acting, bad writing and really bad directing. You know what though, any alien taking over the world story is interesting LOL.
User ReviewMatt WForgettable in every respect. Not a worthy followup.
User ReviewRobert Dmediocre at best, not nearly as good as the first one with only 1/4 of the first one's budget, I was really hoping it would be good despite all the negative feedback but... well they were right, more unanswered questions and room for a third had this one not kicked the bucket and left so many unanswered questions... :( but it is the only two movies I know of that have a plot to terra-form earth, that is in and of itself a unique plot... to bad it flopped :(
User ReviewJim WI would rather have just seen a sequel with Charlie Sheen. He did some other movies for HBO so I don't know why they couldn't get him for this. Instead they lamely just say he was killed by aliens and a relative of his character that was never mentioned in the original is in it instead. Just check out the original movie!
User ReviewShane JOne of these "Oh there was a sequel?" movies that comes out to these science fiction movies that are somewhat successful. The original Arrival, as you may remember, starred Charlie Sheen as a amateur astronomer which stumbled into something big. The 2nd one starts out by us finding out that Charlie Sheen has been bumped off (he's not at all in the movie of course) and he left instructions for his brother and company to find. Of course, this being, again, a half assed sequel, we're forced to endure elements of what made the original interesting (the sphere, the aliens) in twice the capacity. A lot of the plot doesnt make sense, characters are half-explained, and it all takes place in Canada. At least SOME of the special effects are all right. So, in summary, prepare to be amused by this piece of crap.
