User ReviewJenn TReally good :) I love British films and mysteries were even better. A bit predictable but I think it was meant to be that way.
User ReviewBen TI enjoy mysteries and miurders solved. The manuscript holds the key from the past.
User ReviewDave SWas a bit plodding like previous reviews said- in fact true it could have been half an hour shorter. However, as someone who enjoys a good old fashioned mystery or solving a riddle I enjoyed it. Interesting story within a story, and combination of Victorian and modern eras- but you have to watch closely to get the most out of it. Jacobi and Jones are great, but aren't they always.
User ReviewCorey nThis is one of those films that I found odd yet still seemed to enjoy it. Vinnie Jones was quite good in his role. Derek Jacobi was excellent playing Charles Dickens and the hobo in this film. This film started off a little slow and odd. I wasn't sure I was going to like it. But once the mystery started and trying to discover the killer than I was enjoying the film. Then the ending was just a little odd as well. I didn't hate the film because of this. I just expected something a little different with the end. Overall decent so I would suggest people to give it a chance.
User ReviewSimon WThis was a decent mystery. It had enough intrigue to keep me interested. Vinnie Jones is a very entertaining actor, and I watched this strictly because he was in it. Derek Jacobi is a great actor, and in this he is good, but he plays a character that doesn't have much depth. The ending made no sense, and what it implied was just silly. Worth a watch if you like Vinnie Jones, or are jonesing for a decent mystery.
User ReviewSandra Kam I a stupid blond or what?! acting is bad, story might be interesting, but it's badly (or not at all) developed, and these stars are only for CD - although he deserves more. if you want to save 2hrs of your life, choose another film
User ReviewTkon HVinnie Jones, our favorite football actor, plays a different character then we are used to see him. Not one of the best Vinnie Jones movies, but still pretty decent, could have been a lot worse, quite interesting story and decent british actors.
User ReviewDevesh Sthe worst edited movie i have ever seen, and why the hell did they cast vinnie jones? its not like him, this movie. anyway, pretty average, not much that i can say about this flick cept had a tough time trying to keep my ear tuned to the brit accent!
