Leave your thoughts about The Remaining.
Total FilmMatt GlasbyThe human dramas are deftly sketched, the performances decent, and the religious hand-wringing just bearable.
FILMINK (Australia)John NoonanSome will balk at the idea of a faith based horror film, however The Remaining successfully manages to walk the fine line between bloody-minded entertainment and religious discourse.
Empire MagazineKim NewmanLike Paranormal Activity at a wedding - Paranuptial Activity? - this low-budget horror has its moment. Much, much better than Legion, although not as scary as the actual Book of Revelation.
The DissolveNathan RabinAs Christian knock-offs of secular films go, The Remaining is surprisingly respectable. At the risk of crazily overrating the film, The Remaining has to qualify as one of the most stirringly adequate, totally acceptable explicitly Christian horror movies ever made.
VarietyJoe LeydonLa Scala is able to maintain interest and sustain narrative momentum throughout his fantastical narrative, even while he covers overly familiar territory. In this, he gets immeasurable aid from the sincere performances by his game cast.
GuardianMike McCahillIts physical form is in cinemas; its soul is already circling the 24-hour garage bargain bin.
The Blogging BansheeMolly HeneryA piece of religious propaganda lacking scares or substance.
Washington PostMark JenkinsThere’s a fundamental problem here. The movie relies on the instinctual human fear of death, but its message is that dying is a promotion.
User ReviewBud Lnot one for Christian horror flicks but this one was really good
User ReviewDavid JBest Christian based film I have ever seen. The storyline was well written enough to keep your attention and to actually care. Once the scares and suspense starts, it doesn't let up. It a lot of old fashion scares which I like. The sounds effects and cinematography kept you nail biting. Excellent movie. I would recommend to everyone who enjoys a good scare. I hope to see a sequel soon.
