He's uninterested, she's insistent, so he shouts at her and gives her all the cleaning to do. Weeks go by; she's persistent. Will he ever actually teach her to cook? | DVDTalk.comDavid CorneliusIt's lovely and sweet and just gosh darn huggable, and if the plot trips up along the way, we're easy to forgive. |
Filmcritic.comDon Willmottmay make you hungry, but it won't warm your heart.
User ReviewGeorge KLove it its kind of a better and Asian version of Simply Irresistible, poor Abby goes through hell to follow her simple dream of being a Ramen Chef, which she falls in love with because of the soul and perfection it takes to master, and in the end she gets her handsome prince although not the obvious one, love works in mysterious ways. A Brittney Murphy fan must see.
User ReviewTom KI get it I get it ...now if I can just keep it !!! Good lesson sensei
User ReviewCarley EI loved THE RAMEN GIRL - the tale of a young woman ( Phi Beta Kappa, no less ) who four years after college has lost her way, abandoned in Tokyo by her not-so-committed boyfriend. She discovers a Ramen master chef and tries to finally stick to something. A feel-good movie, if ever there was one!
User ReviewJennifer MI was actually pleasently surprised at how this movie turned out. Cute story, a few funny moments, some romance thrown in, oh, and it was set in Japan (big plus for me). In the end I was happy to have watched it.
User ReviewArletta SI loved this movie! Think I've watched it 5 x now. Would probably have watched it more if Netflix would keep it around more. Well, I definitely would have watched it tonight. It didn't look like something I would like and I am not a Brittany Murphy fan, though I thought she was always adorable to look at. But, it's just really good in its own special way - like ramen.
