eFilmCritic.comRob GonsalvesBy the time you get to the giant glittering silver shoe floating in the river, you'll know whether The Passion of Darkly Noon is your kind of insanity.
Ozus' World Movie ReviewsDennis SchwartzAn off-beat, haunting, overwrought fairy tale for adults.
User ReviewBrock JThe Passion features an all star casts and you will most likely think that you fell asleep and dreamed the whole thing, b/c it's just that perfect. I went through a lot of trouble to get this on VHS!
User Reviewdanny mDarkly Noon is the poem song inside all of us. He is passion, envy, rage, confusion, lust, dependence, defiance, friendship, love and, most of all he is lost. He is the child-heart, out in the forest looking for what he knows and, what he needs. We all speak to ghosts when we are unsure, don't we? The sound track mirrors the mood and lives deep in a 'walk in the dark'.. 'Just Look What You've Done To My Skin'...
User ReviewRobert BOne word to describe this movie? Yooooooooooooo!
User ReviewGrayson DI only remember seeing this film on television about 10 years ago (wow), and it seemed a slow paced indie film but its certainly hurtled towards a conclusion by the end. I'm pleased to find its on DVD again so that I can check it out again. I can also now note the all star cast in early roles.

User ReviewMaria-Venetia KThe Passion of Darkly Noon is an extraordinarily beautiful film. From the symbolism to the enchanting music, it gives you shivers of pleasure from the beginning till the heavenly song of the end sung by P.J. Harvey. The music is superb and so are the photography and the performances, especially that of Brendan Fraser who gives his best shot to prove that he's worth much more than his previous movies suggested. Directed in a dark, grueling way, with compelling scenes in the woods and the inner psychology of the heroes reaching the sought for redemption at the unpredictable end, The Passion of Darkly Noon is a film not only for a small audience but for one which will either love or hate it. It's quite obvious I did the first.
