Leave your thoughts about The Passion of Ayn Rand.
New York Magazine/VultureJohn LeonardOkay, I'll say it: The Passion of Ayn Rand is as delicious as it is dumbfounding, as mirthful as it is misbegotten.
User ReviewMarilee AHelen Mirren, need I said more? Except I absolutely love this quote: "Wise-ass Man: Excuse me, Miss Rand. I was wondering if you could give us the essence of your philosophy - standing on one leg. Ayn Rand: [Stands on one leg] Metaphysics: objective reality. Epistemology: reason. Ethics: self-interest. Politics: capitalism."
User ReviewRuss FHelen Mirren at her best,as she always is.
User ReviewTerryBased on her writing, I'd have to say that the portrayal of Ayn Rand is about what I expected. I say this as an enthusiastic fan of the late Ms. Rand. She had an ideal and it was a very good one. She had the charm to make her portion of the world her own, even if some of her followers had trouble satisfying her (and that was their passion, too, so be it).

User ReviewLubaina KIt took me 4 months to actually be able to watch the dvd. A great fan, ,maybe not so much of a believer of her philosophy, I didn't know if I had the courage to watch her personal life. When I finally did, it made me realize just one thing, there are no heros and heroines, there is just love, honesty and happiness. No sort of human greatness or being a genius can substitute the essence of just being.
User ReviewMiss PAn incredible woman, so brave. Taking on all forms of strict moralism, challenging it & working toward a greater potential. Takes a sidestep from morals & societal teachings to understand & accept her works. The acting is supreme. The writing divine, as a few good quotes ensued. I would like to say, love is best with own kind, but I must say, it is random. Passion, however, is the fuel of creativity from the chaos of love. I will watch again, there is much to gain, by the directing as well.
User ReviewStephen FI still don't get the peeing guy's role in the movie but really enjoyed Helen Mirren's portrayal of an older woman searching for love in all the wrong places.
User ReviewAllyssa DThe best thing about this is Helen Mirren and Peter Fonda.
User ReviewLisa KHelen Mirren is just incredible as Ayn Rand. That being said, I thought the script was weak and the supporting cast left much to be desired. Still, I gave it 4 stars simply for Helen Mirren:)
