User ReviewSarah GAnother british film that everyone should watch. Especially as John Mills is in it.
User ReviewBill BNice British film noir. John Mills is excellent as a former mental patient who is framed for a murder. A bit slow at times but quite atmospheric all the way through.
User ReviewOrlok WA dandy mystery that is filled with tension and drama--British Noir!!
User Reviewroger tThis film interests me because the male lead is, for all but a few minutes of the movie, portrayed as either insane, suicidal, or both. As a story about overcoming inward as well as outward obstacles, I get it, but I'm not sure what makes the character so attractive to Joan Greenwood...or me? Perhaps there is a thrill that comes from having more faith in someone than they have in themselves.
User ReviewPhilip GReasonable-enough "innocent man wrongly accused" thriller. Hitchcock did that a heck of a lot better though, and the "Mr Cholmondley-Warner" accents are an unintended amusement.
